While OUSD distributes yield by increasing token balances via daily rebase, wOUSD instead appreciates in value over time, making it compatible with DeFi protocols and smart contracts that do not support rebasing tokens. wOUSD earns the same yield as OUSD and can be wrapped or unwrapped at any time with no lockups.
