Wallets and routes
Does Latin Link custody my crypto?
No. For wallet-based operations, you keep control of your wallet and approve and sign transactions yourself. The interface does not hold your private keys or take custody of your swap funds.
Can I buy crypto with Brazilian reais, pesos or a bank card?
No. Latin Link swaps or transfers crypto that is already in a compatible wallet; it is not a fiat on-ramp. Buy and sell flows through MoonPay are not currently available in the app.
Which networks and routes can I use?
The available list depends on the product module and current deployment. The cross-chain pilot evaluates stablecoin routes across Ethereum, Optimism, Polygon, Arbitrum and Base, but not every token or direction is enabled. Check the live quote.
Does a route work in both directions?
Not automatically. Each source and destination token contract and direction must be approved separately. A quote can also change or disappear before you sign.
Costs and contract addresses
What fee does Latin Link charge?
Current configured same-chain fees are 0.075% for stablecoin pairs and 0.0999% for blue-chip or volatile pairs. The cross-chain pilot fee is 0.15%. Network gas and route or pool costs are additional; check the quote and fees page for the current estimate.
Why should I check a token contract if I know its symbol?
Symbols can be reused by unrelated tokens, and bridged versions may have different contracts. Check the chain and exact address in the market catalogue and confirm that the quote uses the intended asset.
Does a lower fee mean I receive more?
Not necessarily. Compare estimated output after route and pool costs, network gas, price impact and slippage using the same token contracts, amount and time.
Reviews, pilot controls and integrations
What did Metlabs review?
Metlabs performed static analysis of appWallet source code and dependencies on July 6, 2026. The September 2026 remediation-closure report records 17 findings corrected in that scope. It did not cover deployed runtime, infrastructure, third-party on-chain contracts or dynamic penetration testing.
Does that review make every swap safe?
No audit or code review makes every transaction risk-free. Routes, tokens, networks, wallets and providers can have separate risks. Check the transaction request and only sign if you understand it.
What are the cross-chain pilot limits?
The current code caps a cross-chain operation at USD 500 and rejects quotes with estimated net-value loss above 5%. Deployment controls can lower the cap or disable the flow. A quote is not proof of delivery or a guarantee of completion time.
Does Latin Link offer a public developer API?
No supported public developer API is currently published. The app uses internal server endpoints for its own interface; those endpoints are not a documented or stable third-party integration contract.
Need the implementation detail?
The docs explain providers, commissions, verified token identities, review scope and pilot safeguards.
